Who we are
Sit & Stroll is a small, family-run pet care business offering dog walking, dog training, pet sitting and overnight house stays across Thrapston, Northamptonshire, and all surrounding areas within a 10-mile radius.
We pride ourselves on being friendly, reliable, trustworthy, and experienced, treating every pet as if they were our own. For your peace of mind, we are fully insured, DBS checked, and trained in pet first aid.
The business was founded by Lauren in 2019 after completing college, where she studied Animal Management and achieved a Level 3 National Extended Diploma. Dog-obsessed from a young age, Lauren always knew she was destined to work with animals. She is currently working towards her Level 4 Advanced Canine Behaviour Diploma, continually developing her knowledge and skills to provide the best care and training possible.
Lauren’s partner, Adam, joined the business in 2026 due to growing demand. After six years working as a kitchen fitter and carpenter, he decided to pursue something he was truly passionate about — working with dogs. Getting his own sports dog in 2025 and dedicating countless hours to training showed him just how rewarding and fulfilling life with dogs can be.
Together, Lauren and Adam share their lives with a Rottweiler called River and a German Shepherd × Belgian Malinois called Echo. Lauren also co-owns a German Shepherd × Collie called Ruby with her mum. Since 2025, they have both trained regularly in PSA (Protection Sports Association) with River and Echo, with the goal of one day competing.

Dog walking
30-minute or 1-hour walks available

Structured group walks
Ideal for friendly, sociable dogs who are comfortable walking in a group and being safely transported in a crated van. Maximum of 6 dogs per group.

Solo walks​
Perfect for dogs who need one-to-one attention, including dogs who are reactive, nervous, or uncomfortable travelling in a vehicle.
